This ramp is located in Jean S. Roberts Park in Havre de
Grace, a mini-park that has more paved parking than grass.
The park has a small pavilion and a short boardwalk along the
river. As can be seen from the picture, the ramp is right beside the
Amtrak bridge across the Susquehanna. It is just upstream
of the point where the river meets the Bay, which is generally
considered to be at the Concord Point lighthouse in Havre de Grace,
just one mile south.
This ramp is the closest one on the Harford County
side of the river to Garrett Island, now a no-access national
wildlife refuge (see notes for the Perryville ramp, which is
closest). There are shipping channels on both sides of
Garrett Island.
